I am most excited about
There is very little known about jellies in the central Arctic. Some species are suspected to overwinter, so samples from the winter season will be particularly interesting. Not many data exist regarding their diversity and numbers, and how jellies use the sea ice as habitat for example. We expect many new discoveries and by using advanced molecular techniques, we hope to get many insights in the ecology of this group, which is believed to dominate the Arctic ecosystem.
