From 13 – 17 February 2023, the second international MOSAiC conference took place as planned in Boulder, USA. With the positive experiences and suggestions from the 2022 conference in Potsdam, the event concept was largely adopted and refined in collaboration with the University of Colorado (Boulder), CIRES, NOAA PSL and AWI. In total, the hybrid conference had 227 participants, 166 in person and 61 online. 136 oral presentations and 78 posters were given or presented in 17 sessions. The resulting session topics were condensed from suggestions solicited in advance from the MOSAiC community. In this way, the topic complexes with their interconnections of different disciplines within the sessions directly reflect the current activities of MOSAiC exploitation (see session list on the webpage linked below).
