My tasks on MOSAiC
Investigate water vapor and mixed phase clouds in high Arctic using ground-based and airborne remote sensing; validate satellites and models.
My biggest challenge
Typically we have online access to remotely operated instruments. For our radiometer operated on Polarstern we might get very few informations via email contact and have to rely in terms of calibration and maintanance on the knowledge which has been transfered to person which kindly agreed to operate our instrument on the harsh (cold, wind) conditions.
