My tasks on MOSAiC
As part of the BGC team, I will be out in the field and collect plenty of sea ice, snow, seawater and air samples for analysis of ozone-depleting, halogen organic compounds.
I am most excited about
Having conducted paleoclimate research on Antarctica in my (scientific) past, I am excited to explore and experience working in the Arctic. I am also excited to be working in a new field of research, which is organic chemistry applied to modern climate studies, and advance our understanding on how climate change is affecting the polar environment.
