My tasks on MOSAiC
I'll be running a range of instruments on board RV Polarstern in the Container Lab and on the crow's nest, as well as on the sea ice on the meteorology tower and on the tethered balloon. I plan also to collect samples of snow, frost flowers and brine on sea ice for further chemical analysis.
My biggest challenge
Weather and sea ice conditions may impose unexpected challenges, as well as potential visits by polar bears.
I am most excited about
I am excited to work together on a very important topic with a fantastic group of scientists from different nations some of which I have met on previous expeditions, and experience together the Arctic wilderness.
