The two Russian Icebreakers Kapitan Dranitsyn and Admiral Makarov bow to bow (Dranitsyn on the right side when looking from the bow). At 87° 08‘ N and 84° 48‘ E Makarov refuels Dranitsyn, the latter exchanged the participants of MOSAiC leg 2 and 3 and supplied Polarstern with provisions and material.
