Elucidating the biodiversity and genetic potential of eukaryotic marine microbial communities to improve our understanding of microbial survival and microbial mediated processes in the Arctic Ocean.
I am most excited about
I'm most excited about the interdisciplinarity of the project, leveraging the perspective to work with a well coordinated dataset of multidisciplinary observations. MOSAiC will give us the unprecedented opportunity to study the functionality of the Arctic marine ecosystem from genes to the whole system over a full annual cycle and changing environmental conditions.
