My tasks on MOSAiC
Keep the permanently installed measurement systems on Polarstern up and running as well as some lab equipment (MilliQ, LN-Generator, Freezers). And also to support scientists in implementing new devices to the ships infrastructure.
My biggest challenge
The building of a runnway for aircrafts will be a big challenge as well as maintaining the cabel connections from the ship to different scientific sites on the ice floe.
I am most excited about
To see how the ice situation changes and how we cope with it will be very exciting.
